Experience & Expertise

Skills developed through years of field and laboratory research

Activities, Experiences & Interests

My work spans from remote field locations to laboratory microscopes, combining traditional geological methods with modern analytical techniques.

Conodont Biostratigraphy & Taxonomy

Describing and interpreting microfossil collections, specifically conodonts, to determine the biostratigraphic age, biofacies, CAI, species counts, and custom datasets for specific projects.

Fieldwork

Conducting field-based stratigraphic and paleontological analysis and sampling, with experience and focus in North American Basins.

Core Analysis & Sample Processing

Conducting core-based stratigraphic and paleontological analysis and sampling, and integration of these data with petrophysical well logs.

Sedimentology & Depositional Systems

Describe sedimentary facies and develop sequence stratigraphic and depositional environment interpretations that incorporate multiple scales of observation (grain-scale, outcrop-scale, and basin-scale).

Mapping & Correlation

Creating geological maps and correlating stratigraphic units across regions using lithologic, geochemical, and biostratigraphic markers.

Morphometric Analyses

Developing quantitative methods to describe variabilities in fossil morphology, and track the spatial and temporal patterns in these changes that support biostratigraphic and paleobiological interpretations.
